The Horror. The Horror. The Horror.

Where to begin. Well, the Jays lost. Victor "Wild Thing" Zambrano threw 65 pitches before he was yanked after giving up 2 runs, 3 walks, and 4 hits in 2.2 innings. Josh Towers came in and did his typical thing. He hung breaking balls over the plate and eventually gave up a 3-run blast. All this after he laughed off an infield flub on a ball in play. He should have been yanked after laughing on the mound. Laughing is for closers.

The Jays offense seems decent if you just look at the boxscore. But if you watched the game, you saw them leave a lot of men on base. After Jake Westbrook left in the second inning with a sore belly, they could have blown things open. But they didn't. Still though, 6 runs should be enough to win a game.

Why the picture of Marlon Brando? Because that's how I feel after this game. Also, when Towers came in to pitch, I started flipping over to a documentary on Marlon Brando on Turner Movie Classics. Fascinating stuff!

I don't know if it will catch on (or maybe it's already been coined) but I summit "Towering Inferno" as a nickname for Josh Towers.
