The most beautiful Saturday of the year so far

Today, we watched a bit of the Mets-Dodgers game on WPIX, listened to a few innings of Jerry and Alan doing the Jays-Rays, and heard our first JaysTalk of the year. (Wilner's in mid-season form, too.)

Now, we're waiting for 5:30 pm to watch Game 6 of the 1992 World Series on ESPN Classic Canada. Fucking A.

It doesn't get much better than this.

Liveblogging the Breakfast TV crew
We had thoughts of liveblogging tomorrow's City TV broadcast of the Jays game, but seeing as how the Drunk Jays Fans called it yesterday, we'll defer to them. They promise to be more drunk, more cruel and more smarter than us anyhow. Tune in at 12:30ish to see the boys skewer Kathryn "Wouldja rather have toes or teeth" Humphries.

The Boys on the Beat - A Comedy of Errors starring Cathal Kelly and Robert McLeod
The image of the junior beat writers for the Globe and Star lost in Florida, having already misplaced the Gulf of Mexico in their efforts to find the ballpark this morning has got to be fodder for sitcom. We're sure we could get Canadian Television Fund funding for it...supposing there is still a CTF.

Thanks for the heads up on the ESPN Classic re-cast of the game, I got all kinds of giddy watching that again! Although my friends that have never seen it got thoroughly annoyed at me telling them every single move of the last 3 innings.

Ok, I was with Wilner until the "There’s no question the guy can hit." Obviously a use of the word "question" of which I was previously unaware...
